How to Look After a Newly Detailed Car

Everyday Care

Car-care guide illustration

The best next step after a detail is to understand what was done. Cleaning, waxing, paint refinement and coating application each come with different aftercare considerations.

Listen to the handover guidance

Ask which products were used, whether anything needs to dry or cure and when the first wash should happen. Avoid relying on generic internet timings when the applied product has its own instructions.

Start with clean wash equipment

Old cloths or dirty wash mitts can quickly mark freshly refined paint. Keep materials for wheels and other heavily contaminated areas separate. Do not dry-wipe dust from the bodywork.

Keep the cabin clear

Allow any damp upholstery or carpet to dry as advised. Avoid placing wet mats or covers over recently cleaned material. Remove daily rubbish and address new spills carefully before they become harder to manage.

Check before adding products

More product does not always mean more protection. Confirm compatibility before applying another wax, dressing or cleaner over treated surfaces. Avoid household cleaning products unless the vehicle manufacturer specifically permits them for the material.

Stay realistic about protection

A detailed vehicle still experiences traffic, weather and everyday wear. Inspect it periodically and arrange care according to its condition. If something does not look as expected after the service, contact the team with your booking reference and clear details so it can be assessed.
